100 DAYS PROJECT: #23

Reflection

23reflectionThe question Steve posed in his story is an intriguing one that opens doors to all manner of theory. Since hypertext story #17 Smoke and Mirrors involved past and present hidden within a mirror, I had to think about what else the mystery of mirrors offered. This then is based on both Steve’s story and my previous in its possibilities.

One thing I considered here is that the story is an image of itself (omigosh–that just gave me another idea!) but that the mapping of the story in Tinderbox would be a mirror image as well. This story goes back on itself and opens into new areas in places but I don’t think I’ve let the reader get lost.

You know, ma’am, there’s more than a touch of science-fiction in you… This was, again, wonderful, and laugh out loud funny when Mo came across speaking backward. Bravo!

Horror and sci-fi was my first love. Thanks once again for the feedback (esp. complimentary but I’ll take it all and any!). You may be responsible for a breakthrough in my writing for hypertext in learning to guide navigation through story. I wish some of my foreign readers would give me their thoughts as well–I’ve given up on the locals!

Ohmigosh I was hooked! Definitely had a laugh out loud moment with Mo’s back-speak!

How nice to hear that–thanks! I think I even twittered about a chuckle-moment in writing and this ‘lightbulb-over-your-head’ flash with the reversed language was it. Didn’t have time to figure out how to do it completely properly–Photoshop text image and paste it in probably–so I’m glad you both caught it without thinking it dopey or not done right. Thanks.
