"So does that thing just remain in perpetual blinking mode?" Jane thought the red flashing button on Jam's arm was hideous. Naturally, she didn't say so.
"Well yeah, for now anyway," Jam touched the light with his fingers, gently out of both fondness and fear. "It's just in alpha, so they'll still be working out the glitches."
Jane noted the pride in his voice, didn't understand it but pretended to just as she'd learned to hide within actions, reactions since she was about ten.
