Jack replays the interview in his head, trying to concentrate on the long drive home.

He should have been more prepared on the layoffs. More sympathetic to the company while making it clear he was a good worker. He should have smiled. The candidate before him was green and glowing. Six feet of self confidence striding confidently through the waiting room, even nodding to Jack as he floated by. Jack wished he knew how to stride.
