Jack copies the information from his resume into the company application. He knows it's redundant and knows it doesn't matter, that he has to fill it out anyway. Maybe if he could patent a form that all employers uniformly use, he could make his millions that way instead of going through these emotional exercises of self-doubt.

He sits waiting patiently past 11:45. He suspects that another candidate is being interviewed. He wonders if the applicant was late to the interview. Or if the overtime means that the interview is going extremely well. Maybe the guy's already been offered the job.

Jack waits, trying to talk himself out of nervous perspiration, holding his arms out slightly from his sides to cool off or dry out his armpits. He hopes it's working.
