down the road lived a boy who was stolen one day, lured from his seesaw and slide
by a peach-colored woman with caramel hair, a white ivory smile and southern sea eyes
they played for a while with a great balloon ball, all striped in the colors of oceans and sand
then a wind came around that tousled his hair and pushed him along
to follow the ball as it blew over fences and meadows and into the peach woman's yawn
