When Mrs. Rorbach went back into the house, Jerry was sitting at the kitchen table coloring. He had all the crayons spread out in a fan to his right, arranged according to the colors of the rainbow.

“Goodness, I was worried,” she said. “Where were you?”

“Here,” Jerry answered.

“But I just looked through the whole house for you. Were you hiding?”

“Nope. I was coloring. Should I make the flower blue or yellow?” he asked.
