I stared at it in the bathroom mirror. I stared at the man behind the nose, a separate entity with a little girl's nose slightly askew and off center implanted on his forehead.
I did try to pull it off to give back to her but as I guessed, it was of poor quality and had mashed flat on impact. I knew also that her family could not afford another, had likely paid dearly for this stranger's nose that was no more hers than mine.
