Red was okay. Though it was obvious that the only people who had red were those that weren't rich--because the rich people had gold or blue--and weren't poor--because the poor had gold or blue.

Or, yellow. Yellow was like plastic versus gold. Yellow was acceptable in gangs, or by those who didn't want to stand and wait in lines or fill out forms.

In which case, they would be given gold or blue. But not usually red or lavendar. No one really wanted red or lavendar.
