Devin sat up, stretching the muscles that had cramped in his sleep. He wondered why he was here, tried to think of the night. There was nothing, not a wisp of conversation, a memory of a dinner, a face.
He gave up, found his clothes, his wallet and keys still in the jacket pocket. There was cash, over a hundred dollars in the wallet and at first glance, all his credit cards seemed to be there.
With another hard look around the room he pushed up off the bed and headed into the shower.
