"Hey mom, did you know that the square root of 144 is 12?" Mikey said one morning when he was five.

Mikey figured that since his mom was so pleased with him lately that just maybe he might tell her how much he hated the orange stuff on his peanut butter sandwich every morning for breakfast. She stared at him blankly.
