\"13connections1\"<\/a.This was a change in process and I did get confused. Inspired into poetic prose, I took from Steve's piece his use of language--though nowhere matching his skill--and the concept of memories attached to objects and a life's narrative that it forms. Though I was going to pick up on Steve's nice choice of the use of second person pov, my interpretation seemed to work better in first. Second's a tough call; the story has to want it.\n\nThe map had been laid out in a completely different form of concentric circles, though the related spaces were grouped together. Having a rough idea of how I would work the linking, I did the writing. When I went to the linking it was impossible to follow them in the circle form. I also threw out the idea of how they would relate, whether by time or a word or an idea, and just went with the feel of it. One thing that's different about this one is that the 'final' space links back to the first (which allows a return to the safety of 'home' if already bored) since there are some links that are easily missed and since they are unrelated except by the narrator memory of thing, I figured I could get away with it. Note to new hypertexters if you haven't already figured it out: links where you've already been (visited) change to a different color so that you know where you've been though you don't necessarily know where you're going, On the other hand, you might want to return (!) And that's the joy of hypertext.\n\nThe inspiration of the last couple of days of working the soil inspired the idea behind this as I went through and spotted some of the special plants in my backyard.\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
