{"id":291,"date":"2008-01-09T18:08:52","date_gmt":"2008-01-10T01:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/susangibb.net\/blog2\/?p=291"},"modified":"2008-01-09T18:08:52","modified_gmt":"2008-01-10T01:08:52","slug":"new-media-synaptic-offering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/susangibb.net\/blog2\/2008\/01\/new-media-synaptic-offering\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW MEDIA:  Synaptic Offering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"drop\">F<\/span>ound via the <a href=\"http:\/\/sycamorereview.com\/blog\/\">Sycamore Review<\/a>, James Tadd Adcox, a former editor at SR, is offer what he calls a &#8216;synaptic novel&#8217; on this website, <a href=\"http:\/\/fiction-volante.blogspot.com\/\">Fiction Volante<\/a>.&nbsp; What he&#8217;s aiming for is a short story each and every weekday for one year.&nbsp; From his site:&nbsp; Synaptic Novel: a long prose work composed of short narratives connected (or linked) to each other through associations of phrase or image.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s entry is interesting and enticing:&nbsp; <\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><em>Each time we kissed, something new sprang up from the ground. Daisies, violets, poison ivy, kudzu. \u201cStop, really,\u201d Rose said. A jumble of chrysanthemums shot up. \u201cIt\u2019s too much,\u201d she said.
