T<\/span>hinking about changes this morning.\u00a0 Fat and funerals–but that I’ll post on Spinning.\u00a0 Here I do still refer to Spinning<\/a> because of a picture I put into the sidebar there.\u00a0 It looks like this:<\/p>\n

It’s of me, and I stuck it in as the banner for one day only just to scare people.\u00a0 That was before I brought it into Photoshop and made it look like it does above and restuck it into the sidebar after coming up with a new logo banner.<\/p>\n

But what it makes me think about is the cartoonization of man.\u00a0 I’ve posted here before about the TV commercials that use animation clearly based on reality format.\u00a0 It’s a world where we’re doing all we can to dehumanize humanity.\u00a0 Easier, faster means of communication such as cellphones, text messaging, e-mails, and yes, weblogs.\u00a0 We’re putting more and more barriers between skins.\u00a0 Applebee’s (restaurant) commercials now have a talking apple but it tells a human to drop the text messaging and get together in real life with his friends over a meal.\u00a0 \u00a0 Does the apple foresee an even more open yet barren of touch existence?<\/p>\n

I am me, and yet I am a cartoon.\u00a0 This sheds so much more light on the graphic novel as an art form.\u00a0 It also relates to an essay called Transitioning <\/a>that I did back in New Media class.<\/p>\n

It’s a different world out there.\u00a0 And ‘in here’ grows more solitary and secured.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
