"Well it's been good to meet you David," says Al. He gets up and shakes David's hand.
"Same here, Mr. Jacobsen. I really am excited about this opportunity. The job sounds likes it's just what I've been looking for and what I've put a lot of hard work into realizing." David flashes a shiny white-teethed grin.
David has one last chance to clinch the deal as Al reaches for the door to show him out. "I'm sure I'm your man, sir. I believe that I can do the best job for your company and it would make me proud to be working here." He realizes he's laying it on a little thick, backs off a bit. But times are tough and jobs are scarce.
"We have a few more interviews to conduct and then we'll be contacting two or three candidates to come in for a second sit-down with the department managers. I think you'll be hearing from me by Friday."
