Just joined a writing group online at Writers Magazine. A few years back I had joined a Garden Web forum similar in style, and found it interesting, informative, and a more personal way of sharing love of gardening. That was also where my comments were read by a reporter for the Wall Street Journal who contacted and interviewed me via telephone with the result of my advice on voles being quoted in the newspaper. Not my proudest literary achievement, but it was kind of neat!
I’ve found these groups to be made up of folks dedicated to a passion or purpose, and members are so open and willing to share and support each other–albeit long distance. Should be fun!
