BLOGGING: Its Writers

As I spiral back down to earth after another mental flight of fancy, this thought occurred to me: How much of weblog writing can and do we believe?

There is, of course an element of truth in every entry. And some blogs are–or so they seem to be–an honest accounting of someone’s day, or thoughts and dreams. Are we, as total strangers, to believe them? Are we privy to and privileged to know these nice folks so intimately? I think we all know how to keep some secrets, and I strongly doubt that all that can be written down is fully done. We all have limits, even with the best intentions, and we all have a sense of ego that prevents our showing our darkest side to friends and even strangers such as the Google Group of Researchers. We proudly show Quizzella results when we’ve scored strongly in a direction we believe ourselves to be, but do we show them all?

Am I a decent writer then of fiction, an embellisher of truth, an outright liar, or do I truly spend my day from dawn till midnight bouncing off of walls?

Interesting question, isn’t it?

I think it’s irrelevent. Read what you enjoy to read, ignore the rest. If it’s true, or not, believe whatever makes you happy.

I wouldn’t mind if some of the sites I read were written on false-pretenses. Most of what’s worth-reading is.
