EDUCATION: To Learn To Think

¡Que está buena!

I just had my first random thought in Spanish! Hopefully it made some sense because I rushed right into the course website to post it. With the majority of the students in the class (wow, this is neat: As I’m typing this I’m thinking of the sentence in Spanish as well) already fluent in the language because of their ethnic backgrounds and close ties to Spanish speaking generations, I am easily intimidated to speak up in class. Writing it out though, gives one time to doublecheck the spelling, tense, placement and gender of the words which is what I usually take days doing. But habits such as blurting out my thoughts without thinking as I do here in English may be looked upon as progress when learning a new language.

But boy, I sure do hope I didn’t say something really stupid due to being one or two letters off!
