Lord knows I turn clouds inside-out to find the silver lining, but this one’s tough to get excited about. We just received notice that our house has increased 50% in evaluation by the town. This of course means that taxes will go up considerably, even if the mill rate drops a point or two.
The good side? Well, I guess if we’re forced to sell our home because we can’t pay the property taxes, we’ll get more for it.
Gee, I feel better already.
