When I first began Spinning this past October, I said to he who started me upon this evil path, “Hey, wouldn’t it be kinda neat to do sort of a cluster blog with multiple authors, but they’re all really the same person with multiple personality disorder?” It was one of my less brilliant creative ideas, or so I thought…
We won’t mention names, but one of the best female writers on the internet just posted about her reason for keeping two weblogs, basically to not bog down all her readers with the oft recurring blue moments—nay, black, I guess—that are part of our natural personalities.
Not me. Aside from Talespinning, which is just stuff I’m working on, I pretty much let it all hang out here in idiotic entanglement and let the reader figure out what mood I’m in at any given time. I’m sure quite a few have read me for the first time while in a downward spiral and bookmarked Spinning under “Good Grief, don’t ever go THERE again.” Or maybe just got sick and tired of the pendulum effect (see, I am indeed one with Edgar in many ways). Last year and into this I was sent to find my “voice”. Do you now see why I’m having so much trouble? Which one do you want?
Well, it appears today that Poetic Susan has left the building. I’m into Cranky and well on the road to Stubborn.
A discourse on contemporary poetry and fiction is soon to follow, and with the above as a mood indicator, be well-warned.
About time. I was beginning to miss this mood of yours.
One of us thanks you.
