Can you get paid for playing with color codes?
I’m really getting into designing banners and moving things around and such, but my heart lies in changing colors (no shit–look at my personality!). I can spend hours and hours just visiting the color swatch websites, scribbling down color codes, then racing back here or there and plugging ’em in, hitting “save” and “”publish” and trying another one. Problem is that right now, Typepad is a bit sluggish on changes and last night’s banner just came up this morning. Now I’m playing with the sidebar colors to match it better so heaven only knows what you’ll see at any given point in the day. The most frustrating is the borders between the columns without shifting or losing the column–and I’m not giving up on this, so if a column is missing, just scroll down to the bottom of the page. (NOTE: I reached the 20,000 hit mark sometime last night, but I’m sure between the googlers and my playing around with the CSS, there are a lot less serious readers than there appear to be!)
One thing I do know: I’m in my element with weblogs. Creativity abounds with writing and design. They have even changed my goals in education, and I just know that I’ll be signing up for literature, writing, and now, graphic design courses rather than merely fulfilling obligation courses towards a degree. For me, at my age, personal fulfillment is a higher priority than meeting someone else’s requirements.
