I have been up since around two this morning, have spent some time browsing, added some new links, found a great one for my spouse called “Poke the Nun” (no, I don’t mean that!), and am about to raid the refrigerator. Excuse me for a second…
(Clomp, clomp, clomp. Squeeeek, (Pause), Phooof. Squeeek, clank, click. Hmmmmmmm…Ding! Squeeek, clank, Phloop. Clomp, clomp, clomp.)
Okay, I’m back; with a bowl of the last of the Easter piorogi, microwaved and with large dollops of sour cream.
Realized that when I’m in a stable frame of mind, I can write more here at Spinning, but the personal writing as in short stories or poetry doesn’t seem to come through. I need, I guess, to be more contemplative, almost depressed, to write that way now. I am channeling that mood towards creative writing which serves the dual purpose of adding the necessary poetics to my work, and shielding you from my tantrums. Neat, huh?
Goodness me, I feel a depression/inspiration coming on! For one thing, the last of the piorogi turned out to be all apricot and prune, which is great except when what you really wanted was potato/cheese or sauerkraut. For another, I physically feel all fifteen of them regrouped in a fat tire settled at my waistline. All that extra butter and sour cream didn’t help.
I think I shall go finish up my story revision now. If I step on the bathroom scale, I may even spiral down low enough to write a poem or two.
Ooh, this is magnificent…I, too, write better when I’m down, but reading your post has forced me into a better mood. I’ll never write those couplets now! ::sniff:: 🙂
Cindy, don’t feel badly. Shortly after I wrote this entry I tackled the laundry and bookkeeping. That destroyed my mood instantly.
Can you overnight piorogi’s?
Jessidoodles! Hey everybody, it’s my niece Jessica! Yes, yes, I’ll fed-x overnight piorogi to you. I’ll e-mail you a more personal note in the morning, but glad you stopped by.
Oh yes, and don’t tell your mother, my sister, anything you have read here. Love and kisses!
