Bloglines has served me well, saving me an immense amount of time daily visiting blogs that have not posted new entries.
However, there is one very important element that is at cross-purposes with the convenience, and I, myself, am one of the biggest offenders, so please use this as notice to set up “Ignore” Updates if it so suits you.
Very often I add something to or edit an entry. I’ve noticed that others (usually those geared more towards writing than expounding or spilling their guts as their main purpose in blogging) do this as well, and it often destroys the value of the time-saving it offers. This on/off update feature can be chosen on each individual blog on your blogroll. You might want to set it to “Ignore” on mine.
