EDUCATION: The Boring Parts

It’s two a.m. and it’s like the perfect time to get some homework done. But honestly, Binomial and Poisson Probability Tables are just not doing it for me. And frankly, the New Media assigned readings–or at least the one I started with–are hard for me to get into. They’re in that tiny little text, double-sided xeroxed copies that just are an immediate warning sign that they’re dry and rambling. You know what I mean.

Maybe everything will look better to me in the morning, under the pressure of Monday morning deadlines and forgetting that I have a wealth of wonderful books and games that I’d rather be reading and playing.

Gee wiz, how could you find Nelson dry?

Not Nelson, Bolter. But then again, after reading it in the light of day and in much better mood, while it may be dry, it is fascinating in its history of the printed letter that we so easily take for granted. May blog about it later tonight. (Nelson’s I’m looking forward to–it’s got pictures!)
