REALITY: Unreality

A pink morning sky as fake as a Kinkade, or color filters on a Canon. Nature takes creative license with the day. Impossibly black branches cutting through the salmon canvas; a painting I would shake my head at and pass by.

Yet, there it is.

New Media Moment: Evidently nothing is not susceptible to the imagination, when reality itself plays havoc with the norm.

Sometimes it does seem as if the sky were painted from some child’s paintbox. Then other times I think I’ve step into some other world; one day, coming home in the late evening the sky was an ominous shade of purple; I rushed home, it made me so frightened.

This was beautiful, Susan. How reality can sometimes push the boundaries of what we accept as reality. Nature’s colors become what we dream they might. We reject the noncomformity, finding the disbelief easier to accomodate than the adjusting of our perceptions. Still, nature continues to challenge what we can tolerate. A black branch against a salmon sky.

p.s. Love the “as fake as a Kincaid” comment. Amen, sister! Finally! Someone else who doesn’t turn into appreciative jello as this particular brand of rose-colored glasses type of painting. I appreciate the guy’s ability to produce art, but I’m not enamored of the result. Thanks for saying it for me.
