This is sad. Here it is, the last day of a year, and I can’t think of a single eloquent thing to say. There is a story forming in my head, and I may post that if it comes bouncing through, but aside from the hopes and wishes for all to have a healthy and happy new year, my own feelings of good riddance to this past year–along with my gratitude for the many things that almost went awry but with the grace of God turned out all right; my prayers for those less fortunate, and especially the multitudes that were so recently devastated by the earthquake and tsunami, there is little more to say. Tomorrow will be a day just like today, and every one before it. It will offer opportunity, bring rewards and joy as well as pain and sorrow. It’s all in how we handle what comes our way, and how we use it to become a better, more loving and learned human being.
Many thanks for your support and encouragement this past year, and for the chance to get to know so many of you better; it’s been a rich and rewarding experience. Happy New Year, folks.
Haapy New Year to you too Susan … hoping for a great 2005 for you.

Maybe that last huge wave was needed to wash the remnants of a hard year away. Here’s to new beginnings. Happy New Year.
