Unbelievable; that a heavily biased piece of propaganda can win the People’s Choice Award for best film, Moore’s Farenheit 9/11. Kinda makes me lose a little bit of faith in the American public. Of course they/we also voted Will and Grace the best TV comedy, and to me, that’s one of the dumbest shows going.
What bothers me most about Farenheit 9/11 is its labeling itself as a documentary, although I suppose the definition is one that is debatable. The slant is irrelevant, although I see it as the highest funded-form of Bush bashing prior to an election. I’ll say it here, I voted for the other guy, the loser, but for very different reasons than most others.
And as for Will and Grace, before you label me homophobic, that’s not the case. Every character in that program is equally ridiculous and unfunny. But what these results can reveal is saddening; that people are coerced into believing things just in order to be hip and cool.
“That” is why the TV is turned off most of the time in our house. HoHummm!
