Yesterday I received an e-mail from a brother-in-law that held a Powerpoint presentation that had some of the qualities of what I want to try out with story. Of course, this one was all about God and love, so I had to go through it twice because my initial attraction was to the layers of picture, sound and text.
There are some courses set on campus that teach Macromedia Flash that I’d love to take, but time requires me to finish up the science requirement this summer for my diploma, and come Fall, who knows where I’ll be. But the goal is most likely to continue with courses that grab my interest in writing and new media wherever offered, and make a best effort attempt to choose those that may add credits towards a further degree. I do fairly well at school, and have tempered my stubborn streak enough to be open to new ideas, so I’ll carry on in the direction I’ve been headed for the past several years.
Lord knows, I’m too old at this point to strive towards a career, but if what I learn can be used in the future towards personal goals of what I can do and enjoy doing, maybe I’ll end up the Grandma Moses of New Media.
