REALITY: Identity Crisis

Going through my head today because, I suppose, I should put some Willie on instead:

"School bells ring and children sing
It’s back to Robert Hall again
Mother knows for better clothes
It’s back to Robert Hall again."

I’ve lost one of my hats–the black mortarboard with golden tassel.  So odd, especially since regardless of the season I went back to each semester for five years.  New label:  College Graduate instead of Student.  Funny too, the college where I felt at home was once a Robert Hall’s.

No place to go on Tuesdays/Thursdays or a Wednesday night.  No parking place to find by riding round in circles.  New faces in my place at right hand desks in the front row.  Students come and go–on and upward and I’m left behind at home again in daycare, playing with the clay to form a mold of who I maybe could have been or be.

Suddenly, I feel sad.
