REALITY: Value

What is the meaning of sunshine, green grass and flowers?  What do they cost in a life?  Taking stock of all, where do they sit in the grand portfolio–are they up there on top with the rugs and the couches and paintings and twenty shares of Microsoft bought back in ’97?

What is the cost of a day not well spent?  What is the value of children not taught?  What is the right of an ungrateful mind to sit inside someone’s head.

All this and more I ponder. Why ask why? Occam’s razorforms the basis of methodological reductionism, also called the principle of parsimony or law of economy.

Then again, how exactly do bees mate?

Actually, these thoughts did not come from a happy place, nor are they my usual musings, but I question the value of–if there is a presence of spirit–what the body and earthly things teach it to be.

And then again, where’s the balance between the lives we lead and scrolls upon scrolls of philosophies? At the end of the day, success needs to be measured by the best possible effort taken. That’s gratitude.

Neha, the whole post was a metaphor not well presented, and I unfortunately allowed a personal taint to seep in that’s not worth looking into.
