The KISS philosophy is one I practice when coming up with passwords, mainly because like you, I have dozens of websites that require them and it’s a PITA to log in. Seven months after I first set the passwords for most of them on this laptop, I realized that with the new pc’s I could start clean and with each machine needing something different I should fix what I originally screwed up on this laptop.
I can build a pc, get the o/s and programs and drivers all working, yet I managed to screw up the passwords by typing too quickly and having Windows remember the wrong login information. Kept meaning to fix it, but as I remembered it, there is a pwl file somewhere that can be changed. Totally oblivious of the easy method of setting the options in Tools. Well with four diffent computers working four different ways, I finally took the couple of minutes it required to cancel and reset all the password fill-ins here.
Sometimes we manage to make life difficult for ourselves when all it takes is a dedicated moment to make things right.
