WRITING: Writer’s Block

Hah! I snort, after several minutes pass with pen still poised above this one short note.  You’re supposed to be a writer, I say, and yet the words are lost to my insistent grasp.  I finally scribble some useless, helpless words that read sincere but only vague to touch upon the feeling that I cannot seem to write and sign our names. My cousin’s youngest son, just twenty years of age did not survive a motorcycle accident.

Oh such sorrow. Know that my thoughts are with you all in these dark hours. These are the times when I wish words could do more. Please know I am sending prayers on the breath of my sweet grass braid to comfort you.

  2. susan says:

Thank you for your kind sympathy. We haven’t been close with my cousin since we were kids living next door and playing cowboys and Indians together, but I can’t imagine the heartbreak of losing a child.

  3. easywriter says:

Nor me either, I have been gifted in the health and safety of my children.

I still shall send my prayers. Death touches us all in the end and no matter how distant we have become from friends or family the sad unfairness of it hurts us when we hear of the loss.

  4. Mark says:

    I’m very sorry too.

  5. susan says:

Thanks, Mark. Tragedies do put things in perspective but it’s so hard to comprehend what they’re going through.

  6. Sallie says:

~Deep Sigh~ There are no words… You hit the nail on the head once again. I feel the pain in your post. I send HealingPrayers and CyberHugs.
