This is just sort of sweet and funny and it slipped through my barrier against personal posting:
My niece and her three children ages 3, 8 and 11 are living in Spain while her husband is stationed there. When I let her know that Christmas this year would mean gifts for only the "little kids" instead of including her own generation, she assured me that her kids were being brought up to appreciate the meaningful things in life, and not measure Christmas and birthdays by presents. She added, "Just send them a picture of you and Uncle Jim."
Yeah, right. I could just imagine Christmas morning opening packages, and hear their happy cries of "Ca-ca," "Huh?," and "Who’s this?"
