WRITING: Words

Last night on the pillow wondering why the words all sound the same.  Worn out and weary.  Viswanathan: noun; nothing new to say.  Yet languages do not translate exactly; maybe there is wealth of wisdom here, if but we tried a little harder.

Dawn is cut by sight; a flying bowling pin with wings.  By sound; honking, honking, honking.  But is the sound a honk or something else?  I try to sound it out, to spell it out…no use; I need more letters of the alphabet than what I’ve been given.

Few new words come through by way of any but technology, invention.  Words are put together–airplane–nothing new.  Who thought up jet, I wonder?  The birds spend dawn in honks and chirps and tweets.  That’s it?  Oh yes, perhaps a chirrup, cheep and a few more.

But sound out "honk" and do you really tell us what a goose is saying?
