This should be a first, rewriting and submitting two stories in a day. But fun projects, both. Found a last minute glaring error in Cooper’s Promise that I had to correct in both Word and Adobe files and then redownload them for access. I had the same office chair being vinyl in one spot, leather in another. Just shows to go you that when you’re rewriting in new material, you have to doublecheck it against the old.
The second is a real just-for-fun project, meeting a deadline of 5 p.m. today with this morning’s announcement over a Miss Snark’s. I have the feeling that the hardest part will be getting it through the e-mail within a one hour open window. Harder, that is, than using six words like "cabal," "dragoon," and "strauss" that were requirements of the contest. If I don’t make it in, my submission, Rains, is here.
Maybe with my ability to meet deadlines I ought to go into non-fiction and journalism instead?
