Goodness me, it was such fun to walk up to the new bookcases and crank my neck to read the titles (in alphabetical order by author) and browse for my next selection.
I’ve been curious about Kerouac, and decided to get my head around him and his view of the world in a time of unrest that presaged the next two decades of social upheaval.
Another reason for my choice: I noticed that the print is so tiny in this paperback edition that if I hold off too long, my aging eyes will not be able to read it.
