About forty pairs of jeans in the closet and only three of them can be coaxed into comfortably fitting the new, larger version of me.
I think I’ll go back to smoking.
(Note: No, I’m not rich. These jeans are between 2 and 30 years old. Now you can see why I’m so upset at suddenly putting on 10 lbs.)
To this I relate with some regret. I quit a year ago in March and have gone from bear, a small bear, to walrus. I wish comfortable tarps would come into vogue.
Yes, comfortable tarps sound like a good fashion for me too. Tain’t easy to lose the weight that somehow was put on overnight.
DON’T SMOKE!!!
I totally relate. I smoked forever and for the four or five times I quit before I think it finally “took”, I got frustrated at the weight gain and started again. I say just clean out your closet, send the tiny ones to Goodwill or wherever and enjoy the extra space and the good health.
Nah, I won’t go back–though I have cheated a bit. I’m surprised to see that I don’t really enjoy it and put the cigarette out most of the time or can avoid it completely if I stop and think before I light up.
