Susan,
What beautiful photographs. They remind me of my childhood home in Harrisburg, PA. We lived in a part of town called Fishing Creek up in the Blue Mountains.
(Fishing Creek is to Harrisburg what Collinsville is to Canton.)
We had apple trees and peach trees and deer that would visit every night. And our backyard just rolled and rolled. I rarely see anything like it at all around here. Recall that conversation we had in CW- no one wanted to write about Connecticut. I certainly can’t, because I don’t think I’ll ever love Connecticut like I love Pennsylvania.

P.S. Writer’s Group was a blast last week, I hope I can make it to the next one.
I certainly understand love of homeland; I feel this way about Connecticut I guess. Particularly around Harwinton, Burlington–though I’ve seen it elsewhere–the stately old homes and farmhouses with the lawns yawning into forever behind them. I’m originally from Derby but have been in this area for 25 years and call it home now.
The meeting was indeed fun and very productive not only in workshopping but in inspiring some of us to keep up on our own pieces. You’re a valuable asset to the group and I do hope you can make it!
