NEW MEDIA, REALITY, LITERATURE, WRITING: Contemplation

Pondering:

Purpose, beyond being fruitful and multiplying.  Man’s place in living.

Wherein lie my talents, skills?  Does anyone recognize them?  Do they exist beyond my mind?

Layered space, separated only by time.

God.  Difficult to overcome learned faith, yet faith threatens belief.  If I go beyond the learned belief, what would I believe?

Shall I use the Waverly stripe I bought for drapes instead to cover the smaller couch?  What then, for the larger one, and for the windows?

Can I learn Premiere?

Which story shall I submit of three? And is it ready?  Are any?

How long will the books on the shelf take me to read?  How many more shall I add to last me to the end of life?

Shall I knit or not?

Movie, IF, animation, or just plain old text?

So that’s why I can’t blog right now–I’m just too busy contemplating stuff.

You obviously are not torn between “Book TV” CSPAN authors week to week or drawn by simple historical fiction.

I’d make that good if I ever read anything I ever purchased. But “The Boleyn Inheritance” is good for me now before I delve into your yawning gulf…….

I’ve just never been into history–except for ancient times. I hope to learn of an era and a society by its writers, and by what’s written of it in the form of literary historical fiction.

Sort of an oxymoron here, I suppose.

  3. Josh says:

    “faith threatens belief”

    I think the opposite.

  4. susan says:

Aha,a philosophical debate. There are two ways of looking at what is opposite:

Faith strengthens belief–to which I would also agree, or

Belief threatens faith–and again, I would agree here too.

It’s all dependent upon the basis of belief–scientific evidence, or faith alone.

What I am saying in my statement, is that when faith dwindles because it doesn’t hold up, it cannot help but leave its scars upon our view of truth.

This is not just a religious question, but one that applies to the diversity of what we cling to as a standard to living every day. The sun comes up, goes down. People will do the right thing for the most part, or maybe they won’t.
