While I’m antsy to pick up another novel after finishing Atwood, I am a bit reluctant as I’ve noticed that I tend to focus on that exclusively and do not keep up with the plan to concurrently read five books at once. Since the lit journals are piling up at the rate of one coming in the mail for each short story read from back issues, I will assign these as a priority before I get any further behind. I also want to start hitting the heavier readings, although I may just put Didascalicon aside yet again since it is blocking me from reading any others if I don’t seem ready or of the mental state to absorb it right now. Best to stick it back in the lineup and perhaps pull out another learning or philosophically based non-fiction book for more immediate reading.
By tomorrow–or I guess, later today–I should have something picked out.
