Sometimes one would think it is wiser to abandon that which goes nowhere, pull a clean sheet from the lot and start over.
A story can sometimes fall in on itself, all changes made merely add to the muddle. Without core, without concept, without purpose or skill, it is best burned or buried and started anew.
