Itty bit slippery out there tonight. I’m not used to driving on snow or ice, because for almost twenty years I’ve had a home business and simply didn’t go out because I didn’t have to. But Greenie performed like a champ; a Honda CRV (yes, an SUV that gets 25 mpg and passes emissions tests with flying colors, has excellent visibility, is not oversized so it’s not in anyone’s way, I need the four-wheel drive and I need a car capable of carrying client’s work, anything I stick in from Home Depot, everything needed for a long weekend away, and a decent sized Christmas tree–though not all at once, so forget ragging on me about SUV’s). I felt completely comfortable driving it, and though 4-wheelers are not NOT going to slide on ice, it’s a safer vehicle–especially for someone who’s terrified because they’re not used to slippery conditions.
