Yes, I do complain a lot about the minor aggravations in life, but am fairly stoic about the biggies. My family has always been of the type to be shattered by the shards; rocks in crises.
But let me throw this out: This morning, after wrestling with the old barn sliding door to get it open, having it hop off the track several times and having to lift it from the bottom to get it back on to roll, I got into my shop to find that I was able to make snow cones on the top of the coffeemaker. Really. The water froze in stalagmites as I tried to pour it in the grate on top, making that soft, slushy ice that screamed for cherry syrup.
And this is with leaving the propane stove on overnight.
And this is where I must work today.
Poor dear. Just don’t cover anything with an electric blanket. Someone did that in an old movie once and ended up with a carnivorous man-eating carrot from outer space that looked a lot like James Arness. Cherry slushes are much much nicer, don’t you think?
Yikes – I’m shivering just reading about it. You have so much going on, Susan. I’m trying to get a handle on what is happening in your life. I’m curious about your decision to end certain blogs and to be more discrete on this one. I’ve always found fascinating your ability to categorize your postings so well. I just pour it all out. If I had to think about each topic as a separate category, I know I’d be blocked.
