Well I’ve calmed down so that I can now speak without sputtering. A few hours of sleep does wonder for the soul.
But it also (as has been the driving force in my thinking of late) has brought me back to the path that keeps crossing from new media methods, that is, the power and potential of the human mind to weave fact into narrative and store it as such. We can take an experience and blend it with others to make it a more readably likeable and comprehensible version. A friend of mine used to call it "coloring" and that is perhaps a good way of describing what we do within our perception and memory: From an outline of black and white, we fill in the pages with crayons chosen to our own liking, and who cares if we make the grass blue?
