BLOGGING: Spam

I’ve more to say, and since I’ll be up late tonight, I’ll put my thoughts in better order before I spout off. But this is one thing I must get off my mind immediately, and it’s relative to spamming.

For the past couple of days I was formulating a cutesy post in my mind about how I’ve suddenly realized that the perfect career for me would be spamming. I tend to leave lots of comments on blogs because a)I think it’s a nice gesture to show people they’re being listened to, b) I communicate better via the written word, c) I’m inspired by what has been posted and either have something to add or want to acknowledge something someone else said, d) I like to have the last word.

It was just going to be a silly-type post, and you might have enjoyed it, but it’s been lost forever in the transition of turning into Susie The Terrible. This happens upon occasion, and what set me off this time was finding hundreds of spam comments made to our writer’s group weblog (afraid to mention it here because it might attract the eye of that evil, emotionally retarded, oh, let me stop here before I get crazy again.

Very little gets me worked up to this degree. The only other thing that makes my insides boil like lava on a regular basis is my computer chair dropping by millimeters at irregular intervals. I just cannot for the life of me understand the mind of people who would be spammers. But then again, I found it real hard to conceive of finding thirty people who could agree to take over a school full of children.
