T’ain’t polished and proper as promised, and I’m not sure I’m on the right track with it, but in comparing newspaper media with news online, both using USA Today, I’ve written up an essay as an assignment for the New Media class.

The Lost Children: A Charity Anthology
I really enjoyed that Susan! I agree with so many of your points but the main difference for me is that I seem to be able to concentrate better when reading print (particularly technical articles) due mainly I think to the ever present hyperlink. There’s nothing quite like curling up with a good magazine, pen and post-it in hand! As for fiction, I’m sure the technology will arrive in the not too distant future (our lifetimes?) that will allow digital paperbacks.

My goodness, Daisy, thank you for reading through it–it was a fun project to do. And actually, I agree that aside from the benefit of speed, I prefer traditional physical text reading. Even going so far as to print out something for easier concentration. Thanks again for your fortitude and your comment.
