REALITY & WRITING: Procrastination

Putting off the things that can’t be faced for lack of concentration, control or energy. Excuses are the tool the best Procrastinator knows how to use, and use them well.

Deadlines are the blade that dangles overhead. Faced with one, the best procrastinator somehow reaches deep inside himself and finds the other tools, the ones that help the job get done; and done it is, in often record time.

Stress is just a side effect, not symptom, but a perk. Running with adrenalin that makes quick work of mountains, and often finds a way to level rather than to climb.

Outside, in late August heat of hellish sun, I must do one last weeding–often first in places, and the price I pay for putting off is sweat.

Willingly, I pay.
