WRITING & LITERATURE: Change of Heart

Been doing a lot of reading over the weekend, it’s good for focus and concentration. I recant my previous statements of writing off all modern lit published in periodicals lately as unknowable and unenjoyable, and especially, as Karen Carpenterish. There are some excellent stories in a single issue of Confrontation that have me a bit more enthusiastic about bothering to write (or read!) short stories. As soon as I come up with a condensed version of my thoughts on these and others, I’ll post a (most unprofessional but heartfelt) review.
