LITERATURE: The Gilded Six-Bits Part III

I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before, but I now realize that my little essays on some of these short stories are meaningless without having the story available to read and come up with your own thoughts and feelings–many of which may be in direct contradiction to my own, as well as more in-depth analytically as all literature is open to interpretation.

And I especially wanted to make The Gilded Six-Bits
by Zora Neale Hurston available because it is such a wonderful story and so skillfully told. At the University of South Florida American Literature Research and Analysis Web Site I found both this and Sweat along with brief notes, and you may want to follow that link as well if you like Hurston’s work as much as I do.

I’ll be finishing up my essay on this in a post later today.
