Little by little I’ll be pulling some stories and poems off my hard drive and planting them in Talespinning where with any luck, they’ll bother me enough to start revisions. Some are real bad, but others are okay and may even, with some work, get good enough to submit somewhere or tie together into a collection. I also want to plop down the starts of new things that are forming in my mind. Critique is more than welcome. There’s no hurry; writing’s been with me a long, long time and it’s not something I’ll ever completely abandon. This quote I found this morning on Fishbucket is a gem and inspiration to all writers:
“If I don’t write to empty my mind, I go mad.”
-Lord Byron
Great quote. I feel that way much of the time. Words start exploding in my head and I have to get them OUT.
I think putting up some work on Talespinning is an excellent idea. It will make the work more “in your face” which may inspire you toward edits and revisions. Not to mention that you’ll be able to receive feedback, encouragement and suggestions for improvement.
Good luck with it,
Lauren
