Well I took a different path this morning, and visited the gravesites of authors, poets, writers, and many associated through publishing. It took over an hour, but it covered the U.S., England, Lebanon, France, and the Pacific Ocean just to name a few, and went from Chaucer and Milton to those that passed just this past month. Of course I stopped in Richmond, VA to pay my respects to Edgar, and it was lovely in England with the Shelleys. If you are so inclined, visit Find a Grave and the Writers and Authors Category. There are other categories of course, such as celebrities, and a more interesting manner of locating cemeteries nearby.
Oddly enough, viewing their bios and final resting places gave credence to their existence, while their work survives to live and grow in our minds eternally. Have fun!
